Seismo-Electromagnetics
Study on Seismo-Electromagnatics deals with electromagnetic phenomena associated with crustal activities such as earthquake, volcanic activity, landslide, and so on and is quite a new and interdiscripancy subject. Researchers in Japan, Greece, Russia, China, Taiwan, USA, France, Italy, Indonesia, India, and so on struggle with this subject. The phenomena are divided into three types as follows:

1. Direct phenomena from source region based on ground observation

  • VAN method
  • ULF-ELF-VLF-LF-HF emissions

2. In-direct phenomena such as transmission anomaly of station wave

  • Anomalous propagation of VLF/LF station radio waves
  • Anomalous propagation of VHF station radio waves
  • Anomalous decrease of GPS-TEC (Total Electron Content) in the Ionosphere

3. Satellite observation

  • Electron density and temperature anomaly
  • Thermal/Mid Infrared radiation observed onboard satellite
